Volunteer Experience with Monkey Reintroduction in a Reserve

Embark on a rewarding journey “Into the Wild,” where you’ll play an essential role in the conservation efforts for monkey reintroduction. Nestled within a lush tropical dry forest, this sanctuary is home to vibrant Red Howlers, playful Capuchins, and the endangered Cotton-top Tamarin monkey, as well as colorful parrots and majestic macaws.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast by the lake at Fundación Loros, followed by a fascinating talk from expert guides who will share the triumphs and challenges of wildlife conservation.

Explore the forest aboard a rugged 4×4 vehicle, where you’ll marvel at the stunning Cerro de los Loros and meet local farmers, learning about their essential role in preserving this ecosystem.

Your hands-on experience includes preparing and delivering food to monkeys, contributing to reforestation efforts, and fostering sustainable interactions with the forest’s unique wildlife.

To complete your journey, enjoy a delicious seasonal local fruit snack accompanied by a refreshing beverage, the perfect way to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the reserve.

Important: Please remember that it is not permitted to feed the animals directly, or touch them. This is a rehabilitation center, not a zoo. Your respect and cooperation are essential to ensure their well-being and support their recovery process.
